Earlier today at around 7pm I was in my first car accident. I just got my license a month ago and I am 16. Unfortunately, I was unable to contact their benefits center due to being closed for the day. Later, I logged into my account and verified the info she gave me, at least. My copay is $35, my deductible is $250, and there’s no ambulance service (I have a ride to and from the procedure). If everything goes well and it is outpatient, then I already know I’ll be paying a minimum $285 ($35 + $250 + post-op prescriptions) out-of-pocket. I’ll contact the benefits center tomorrow, but am curious in the meantime about what my costs might be. What other out-of-pocket expenses should I include in my budget?
